Born Again Jogger

It's been a while since I've posted about running. That's because I was starting to hate it!

I finally made it back out on Monday after a 3 week hiatus. It felt surprisingly good. And it wasn't because I shed some weight over the holidays or became miraculously healthy on January 1st. It's because I took two weeks off from the daily grind and shed some stress and mental anguish. I was actually in a good frame of mind!

So, on Monday, as this new positive attitude and I ran through bustling noontime downtown, the Christmas decorations finally coming down, it occured to me that there really is a powerful mind-body connection to running.

Even though I failed miserably at my 10K goal last year, I think I'm ready to pick it back up again in 2013. At least until I become completely overwhelmed again. (Most likely sometime next week.)

This gives me hope that I'll be able to get back to being excited about running again. Right now, I'm not exactly feeling it.
